The Major Stars

 Here are some of the major stars.

1. Polaris. Yes, you may think of this as the off-road vehicle brand, but no. This is the North star. Yes, it does actually have a name.

2. Castor.  No, not Castor oil, its actually one of the stars that makes up Gemini. It is a Main Sequence star.

3. Pollux. This is a name in Greek that means kindness and belongs to the other star that formed the Gemini constellation.

4. Orion. No, not onion. Orion is the hunter. It is the most beautiful and brightest star in the winter collection.

5. Sirius. No, not the Harry Potter character, no, not the radio station but, it is the dog star, the brightest star in the night sky, other than the north star. It is a binary star and is in Canis Major, the large dog.
